Raspberry cultivars
A daughter gave us some raspberry plants, best we know they are “June-bearing”, which means they fruit and ripen early in the summer. We don't know more specifically the cultivar so we waited to see their native color and habit.
. It happened that we had some extra space in the raspberry bed so I added three, named Willamette, from Fred Meyer. From experience in their first fruiting, we found that they did put on some fruit in the fall, though only a few that we didn't notice right away. This suggests that that cultivar is “ever bearing,” meaning their habit is to fruit in the summer and the fall. Perhaps, next season will tell whether early corps are better than later
